For quite a while now, Microsoft has been teasing a new version of Windows. We’ve expected massive improvements to the existing windows 10, probably becoming windows 10X. However, Microsoft confirmed that it is no longer planning to release the long-awaited Windows 10X. Rather, a week after they teased a new generation of Windows, Microsoft sent out details of their upcoming event on Twitter.
We expect massive UI improvements in what may be Windows 11. A redesigned taskbar, start menu, file explorer, windows store, new animations, and sounds. CEO Satya Nadella and Panos Panay, chief product officer of Microsoft will be present during the event.
As stated on the Microsoft website, the Livestream will be available on June 24th at 11 am Eastern Time, 3 pm GMT. The programme will be free to attend for all.
